Making baby plants from cuttings
When spring is here I always get the urge to plant seeds and poke around in the dirt… Planting seeds with kids is fun but after all the fuss with planting and watering… nothing really happens… for a looooong time. So another fun thing to do when planting with kids, is to show them how to make baby plants from cuttings. It is way quicker and it is a super cheap and sustainable option where you don’t need to buy any new plans ever again 🙂
It is also a fun idea to have a cutting party where you trade different plants with each other. All of these plants come from our friends and family.
There are a lot of information on how to cut your plants and how to take care of your cuttings, but I am more of a just give it a try kind of person… I just save the top leaves and put the stem in water until it gets some roots, then it is ready to plant!
