Mini Semlor for Fat Tuesday

Today is “Fat Tuesday” and here in Sweden we eat “Semlor” and we made some for our mini Mouse family too, using a play dough recipe from the lovely book “Hidden Places”.

Making home made play dough is super easy, you just need flour, water, salt and oil, things you always have at home 🙂 We used a piping bag nozzle to make the whipped cream and baked the clay pasteries in the oven at 100° C for about 2 hours. We then painted them with white hobby paint for the whipped cream and water colors for the bun.

About

This is a creative blog, to inspire others to make stuff and be creative with your kids. Trying not to get too caught up in the material consumer world and with a childlike playfulness explore play in a more creative way with a sustainable mindset. Don´t focus too much on the product, the end result, sometimes its about the journey itself. Dare to explore, to reuse, to try again, to fail and to have fun!  – Sofie
