Cardboard box play – DIY theatre
January is the perfect month for Cardboard box play! After the holidays you can find a LOT of cardboard boxes in the trash, from all the christmas gifts and online shopping. Why not create something fun out of it? Last year we made a big boat and this time we made a puppet theatre from an old cardboard box, some paint and glue. We cut off the backside to make the curtains and top, painted them and glued them onto the front, done!
Kids often play more with the box than with what is actually inside
So get your, and your kids, creativity going and make something out of an old cardboard box! It can be a house, a spaceship, an airplane, a car… anything really! You will be surprised how long you can play with this and how much energy and creativity it sparks in both kids and grown ups!
