Milk carton ginger bread houses
I just love Christmas and all sorts of Christmas crafts. This year we made gingerbread house advent lanterns out of old milk cartons. We made four houses, one for to light every advent Sunday. They are inspired from some of the beautiful houses i the Old town of Stockholm.
- 4 clean milk cartons
- Brown wrapping paper
- A sharp knife
- White puff paint. (We used a textile paint called stop sock which is normally used as anti slip under kids socks to prevent from slipping.)
- Cut out brown paper and glue around the milk carton boxes
- Sketch out the windows and details
- Cut out the windows and doors
- Decorate with puff paint
The kids helped out with everything except cutting out the windows and doors. We use battery candles.
